How to set the perfect password

From JackSucksAtLife Wiki

"how to set the perfect password" is a Youtube short uploaded to JackSucksAtStuff on July 12th, 2023. As of November 2023, it has 26M views, making it the most-viewed short on JackSucksAtStuff, as well as the most viewed content of any kind on the channel.

Content[edit]

The short starts with a text box which says "Please choose a password". It then zooms out to show Jack is playing the Password Game, a game on the website neal.fun which was released in late June 2023.

Jack originally chooses the password "turdboi420", inspired by his Youtube Channel of the same name. However, this violates Rule Three of the Password Game, which states that, "Your password must include an uppercase letter." Jack then changes the password to tUrdboi420, before being confronted with Rule 4, "Your password must include a special character." After changing the password to tUrdboi*420, he meets Rule 5, "The digits in your password must add up to 25."

Jack making his password

Jack deletes the original 4, 2 and 0 from his password and replaces them with 55555. Rule 6 says that his password must include a month of the year, so Jack inserts "may" onto the end of his password. The password is now "tUrdboi*55555may"

Rule 7 demands that Jack has a Roman numeral in his password, so Jack adds on "V" after the word "may". He then is confronted with the logos of Pepsi, Starbucks and Shell, along with Rule 8 stating that his password must include "one of our sponsors." Jack quickly slides in "pepsi" between "boi" and the asterisk. The password is now tUrdboipepsi*55555mayV.

Next, Jack is told that "The roman numerals in your password must multiply to 35." He thinks for a few seconds, before adding a VII next to his V to get 5 * 7 = 35. Rule 10 needs his password to contain the CAPTCHA "c2fb7", which Jack originally reads as "cZfb7". After realising his mistake, he inserts the CAPTCHA between the words "tUrd" and "boi". However, this addition violates Rule 5, as the digits in Jack's password no longer add up to 25. Jack deletes two of his earlier 5s and adds an extra 1 to fix the error. The password is now tUrdc2fb7boipepsi*1555mayVVII.

Jack is then confronted with Rule 11, "Your password must include today's Wordle answer". He solves the wordle in 5 turns, beginning with "ghast", which has the letter "a" in the right place, and the letter "t" in the wrong place. He then guesses "track", which has the letters "r" and "a" in the right place, and the letter "t" in the wrong place. Next, he guesses "frame", which has the r, a and e in the right place. After this, he guesses "prate, which has all correct letters in the right place apart from the first, before finally guessing "irate", which was the correct answer. He then inserts the word after "tUrd" to form the password "tUrdiratec2fb7boipepsi*1555mayVVII."

Finally, Jack faces Rule 12, which states that "Your password must contain a two letter symbol from the periodic table." Jack tries to solve this by putting the letters "fe" at the front of this password, but this is not accepted due to the symbol actually being "Fe", for iron. After expressing his confusion, Jack attempts to follow the rule with "o2", which does not work because of the improper capitalisation, as well as "o2" being a molecule, with O as the element (for oxygen). Jack, however, believes that it is not accepted because the digits do not add up to 25 anymore, and frustrated, gives up and gets out of his chair.
