:You might be able to use <code><nowiki>{{#expr:{{formatnum:{{NUMBEROFARTICLES}}|R}} - {{formatnum:{{PAGESINCATEGORY:Stubs}}|R}}}}</nowiki></code> this will take num of articles and subtract number of stubs.
